Travari knew all about growl, lowering the ATTACK of the foe. Travari also knew, because of her learned, tame enviroment that grass was not using of the Attack statistic, and so, used absorb on the zigsagoon, the first one, which because of being damaged after the combat was affected by the overgrow ability, and Travari unleashed a full power absorb, as much to heal herself as to do tons of damage to the Zigzagoon.
Folcar, knowing no other way of combat, used peck on the same Zigzagoon as Travari was using absorb on. Their plan was to damage one so much it fainted, then gang up on the other.

The Zigzagoon they ganged up on had no where to run, and was hit by both hits. It fainted, and the remaining one tried to Tackle Travari, it's biggest threat.

Travari turned, and used absorb, the no longer as powerful attack as last turns restoration had left her healed, was used on the Zigzagoon as a sort of 'distraction'. While the absorb was being fired at the Zigzagoon Folcar shot towards the flank of the Zigzagoon, with a peck attack, at the Zigzagoons weak point.

The Zigzagoon crashed into Travari, but was then hit by Folcar, finishing it off. The Zigzagoon fainted.

Folcar flew to the highest he could fly up a nearby trees. His eyes, keen as they were, watched around Travari and Dali to see if any pokemon should show themselves. Travari was watching, but from her lower viewpoint could see little. Dali stroked her long green hair, watching the bushes herself. After none came for a minute, Dali put some of the homemade pokemon food on the ground, to lure pokemon closer.

A little Hoppip came prancing through the bushes, and started eating the food.

Folcar swooped down into a peck, without being asked by Dali, he knew he had the advantage for once. This swoop would probably stratle the hoppip, as it seemed to be concentrating on eating the food. The descent was speeding up now, and Folcar's beak was looking ready to peak the hoppip into pieces with one attack, because in his eyes he looked ready to become stronger, and nothing would stop him.

The Hoppip was hit, and flew back quite a ways... It was a critical hit of course. It readied itself this time. That woulden't happen again. The Hoppip used Synthesis, to heal it's wounds a bit.

While the Hoppip was concentrating on its own attack Folcar shot forward again, with yet another peck attack. It sped up, becoming speedier in his attack and shot at the little hoppip once again, hatred burning in his midnight blue eyes. Flapping its wings faster, the attack approached the hoppip.

The Hoppip was blasted back... It decided to try an attack, it acted like it was splashing water at Folcar... but there was no water, so it did nothing.

Folcar nearly laughed, and launched another peck at the hoppip, once again, quick, speedy and was used with murder in his eyes.

The Hoppip was hit, and fainted.
Folcar leveled up!

Folcar yawned, and rose into the air, about to use its victory dance, the furious spinning, but Travari jumped up from his shoulder and grabbed the little Taillows left talon mid-flight. Folcar fell, with Travari, and they sat on the ground bored. But, it was a horrible mistake on their part because the next thing Dali said was...
"If you're so bored, why don't we train now?"
They made a growning sound, and sat down, more annoyed than bored now. Dali picked up a stick, and waved it around.
"Travari, scout for foes, and look around for a nidoran male while I train Folcar here. You can have your turn soon."
Travari gladly accepted, and jumped into the bushes, digging and pushing grass out of the way, in search of wild pokemon. "Now as for you Folcar, I will throw this stick into the air, you fly up as fast as you can, peck it in two, then come back down. Understand?"
Folcar nodded, and Dali threw the stick. Folcar shot up, snapping the stick clean in two with his sharp beak. Folcar returned quickly, with a fast decent.
"3.2 seconds." Dali said, after peering at her stopwatch. "Not bad, but you could do better."
So once again, she threw the stick into the air, and once more Folcar snapped it in two. But then, feeling like showing off, begun a dancish thing, snapping each half in two, until there was nothing but a shower of wooden splinters and scraps coming from the sky.
"Impressive Folcar, you have improved with your speed mighty well, but, your attacks power could use a bit of work." Now that Folcar looked, most of his cuts were very messy, and obviously done with one or two attacks, or else they would've been straighter. "I believe we must continue this. This time, a horizontal throw, which you must break into 4 pieces before it hits the ground."
So Dali threw the stick towards the lake, and Folcar shot after it, breaking the stick in two before it hit the lake. Next it broke into three, and finally 4 pieces, before they plopped into the lake with a splash. Folcar flew back onto Dalia's outstretched arm.
"5.7 seconds for all that, your speed is amazing." The bird beamed. "But we must train more still, if you want to be a mighty Swellow one day."
So Dali grabbed a stick and ran 30 metres away, rather than Folcar moving. She placed the stick on the ground and got out her stopwatch.
"As fast as you can, fly over here would you Folcar?" She had barely finished before Folcar shot over, and she hadn't even started the stopwatch before he got over there. "Ok, try practising strength." She grabbed a long, thick piece of nearby bark from the ground. "Poke as many holes in this thick piece bark of bark in 30 seconds. Ready? Set? GO!"
Folcar wasted no time, ripping holes everywhere in the bark, some thin and beak shaped, some thick more like a rip or slash. By the time the thirty seconds had passed Folcar was exhausted from the training, and Dali begun to count the holes."
"54... 55... 56... 57... 58! Fifty eight holes in less than half a minute, that's impressive. You look tired though, have some pokefood..." Dali gave Folcar one of the large tins of pokefood from her backpack. "Take a few bites."
At that moment Travari retured from her search, and yelled a lot of gibberish spoke in pokemon. It sounded like either really good news, or really BAD news.

Folcar gained a level!
No pokemon had been found by Travari, they all seemed to be hiding.

Travari sighed and sat down. So, not a pokemon in sight? Travari settled down, then groaned, remembering what this meant. She had to train... Folcar knew what it meant for him. So he flew off into the bushes and high into the sky in search of one. Travari jumped up onto Dali's shoulder and wondered what they would do.
"Ok, what we shall do is..." She paused thinking of something. Slowly she looked around, and finally her eyes were set on the lake. "Hmmm, to begin with, throw this stick as far into the lake as you can."
Travari grabbed the stick, leapt into the air and tossed the stick in a spinning motion, where it soared through the air, landing in the lake about 24 metres away.
"Nice throw Travari, take this one and do it again."
So another jump from Travari, and the stick spun out of her hand. This once went further, about 30 metres away.
"Ok, I think we have this one under our belt. Now, practise speed and strength."
She threw a stick horizontal. "Now chase, and break!"
The Treecko chased after the stick, it nearly was flying into the water, but eventually she caught up, snapped it in two, continued to chase it and grabbed it. She stepped back to Dali and gave her the two sticks. Dali threw them both instantly.
"Go break them again Travari." Travari chased after them, snapping the first clean in two, but by the the other had got ahead, and she used some ingenuity. She used absorb on the other stick, drawing it closer to her, then snapped it in two. Dali then called Travari back.
"I think we can stop now, let's put some poke'food on the ground to see if any wild pokemon are lured in."
Dali scooped some food into the bowl she had laid on the ground, and waited for a wild pokemon to come.

From high in the sky, a pack of Poochyena could be seen, but that was it.
A Zigzagoon ran to the pokefood, stuffed its mouth quickly, then ran off. It had seen what happened to the Hoppip, and didn't want that to happen to it. Though it was hungry enough to snatch some food.

They sighed, and decided it was best to move areas. Dali Travari and Folcar begun to walk towards another space in the route, and she walked closer to the lake, though still in a grassy area. She sent Folcar high into the air, and lay some pokefood on the ground, and hid, making herself hard to see, in a bunch of reeds in the lake, though very close to the food so that Travari could catch any pokemon that come. ((I was just wondering, I hope you're not just never going to make a Nidoran Male come just to spite me for telling you xD. Cause that's not very nice ))

((No, I wouldn't do that. But Nidoran Male are rare. Very rare, in fact. So... there are fewer of them, and they'll be harder to find.))
No pokemon came to the pokefood, but there were a few spos of purple from Folcar's view, that could possibly be a Nidoran M.
A sudden wind stirred up, blowing dust around. A few clouds drifted in. It could start raining soon.

The clouds blocked Folcars view, but he dived down and tugged Travari, babbling to her at pokespeak. The Treecko and the Taillow began shooting off to where they had last seen the patch of purple. Dali followed, but was much slower. After running for a while they arrived at the spot where Folcar had seen them, and gasped in shock at what was there.
